Qualification delivery and assessment

How is the qualification delivered?

This short, focused programme is delivered over three sessions:

  • Session 1: Theory (online via MS Teams)
  • Session 2: Theory (online via MS Teams)
  • Session 3: Practical, client-based assessment (face-to-face)

Designed to fit around busy professionals, with a blend of online learning and practical assessment.

How is the qualification assessed?
  • Assessor observation
  • Practical assessment
  • Assignments and case study
  • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) where appropriate
Funding and eligibility

Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements;

Individuals must:

  • Reside in Wales
  • Be 19 years or over
  • Not currently be enrolled or accessing any other Welsh Government-funded programme
  • Already hold a Level 3 Personal Training qualification
