Depending on your chosen programme, some or all of the following Essential Skills courses may be required or will need to be completed:
- Essential Skills Level 1, 2 or 3 Application of Number (AON)
- Essential Skills Level 1, 2 or 3 Communication
- Essential Skills Level 1, 2 or 3 Digital Literacy
Following successful completion of the Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment, learners may progress to our Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice.

Qualification delivery and assessment
At Portal we understand the demands of modern work life. We know that your work commitments, project deliverables, and team responsibilities require careful balance. That’s why we’ve shaped a flexible learning approach that allows you to hone your skills without having to compromise your ongoing commitments.
The qualification is delivered to cohorts of up to six learners. On enrolment, each cohort is assigned a dedicated assessor who will provide ongoing support throughout the programme. Following an initial induction session, learners take part in three group sessions (3.5 hrs each) and three one-to-one sessions (1 hr each) via Microsoft Teams, focused on progress, observations and task setting.

- Professional discussion
- Question and answer
- Observation of performance
- Work products
Fees for this qualification are subject to VAT. We welcome both individual learner bookings and organisation bookings, with invoicing available for employers placing group bookings.
